The award-winning barista Anton Söderman and friend Adil Khan, have recently opened a very exciting coffee shop in Urtegata, Grønland in Oslo. A must if you are near Grønland or Tøyen

Papegøye’s vision is to offer a healthy menu with a focus on vegan and plant-based products, by using only plant-based milk in its milk-based coffee drinks.

This unique coffee shop offers most of the hot and cold espresso-based drinks, and offers, in addition to specialty coffee, healthy snacks such as various sandwiches, fruit salads, various juices, smoothies, cold porridge and pastries.

Recently Papegøye also became a wine bar with delicious cocktails, natural wine, beer and sake.

Anton Söderman coached two of the baristas at Papegøye to victory in the Norwegian championship in each branch in coffee art. One of these is Simen Andersen, who came 6th in the World Championships in Melbourne, Australia. In other words, you will find 3 Norwegian champions within the coffee arts at Papegøye.

In 2022, 3 out of 5 baristas on the Norwegian coffee national team were employees from Papegøye.

Papegøye is run and owned by two ex-professional dancers and actors; Anton Söderman and Gullruten, and Hedda Award nominee Adil Khan. Winner of the first season of So You Think You Can Dance and former judge in Norways Got Talent. Adil currently works within mental health in addition to Papegøye. Anton and Adil both have a burning commitment to good mental health and healthy values.

Papegøye is a unique place with soul and low shoulders, delicious music on the speakers and down-to-earth employees with many talents. Papegøye is for everyone, for those who are completely new to specialty coffee or if you are a coffee nerd.
