ABOUT
Papegøye is a café, wine bar, and a vibrant meeting place in Grønland, Oslo, Norway. A place that has grown organically over time, shaped by care, curiosity, and a love for both the craft and the guests who walk through the door. A true passion project.
Behind Papegøye are longtime friends Anton Söderman and Adil Khan. Two creative forces with backgrounds in dance, performing arts, culture, and communication. Together with a handpicked, skilled team, they have built a place where quality, warmth, and genuine human connection are at the heart of everything.
Papegøye is a space with a relaxed atmosphere and high professional standards, where coffee, wine, art, and conversation are all given room. An inclusive, lively place to settle in and to feel inspired.
Coffee has always been at the core. At Papegøye, specialty coffee is served with great respect for the craft, everything is 100% plant-based, and the menu is thoughtful and wholesome, offering smoothies, juices, baked goods, and light dishes. Papegøye is for both the curious coffee drinker and the devoted coffee nerd.
Papegøye is also a wine bar, featuring carefully selected natural wines, cocktails, beer, and sake. The venue has recently been renovated and expanded, and with more space and its own stage, Papegøye now opens the doors to a new chapter with events, art, culture, and evenings that linger a little longer.
In addition to winning numerous coffee competitions, Anton has mentored and developed several Norwegian champions within the coffee profession. In 2022, three out of five baristas on the Norwegian national coffee team were part of the Papegøye family.
Anton and Adil share a genuine commitment to mental health, and Papegøye is meant to be a safe and generous space with a relaxed atmosphere, good music, down-to-earth staff, and room for both stillness and life <3
